Rockford Fosgate® Announces New Motorsports Camera

Rockford Fosgate the industry leader in high-performance audio systems, adds even more performance to their recently released STG5 and STG6 SXS audio systems with the launch of the new MX-CAM motorsports camera. Designed for the off-road, this high-resolution color camera is Element Ready™ to provide a crystal-clear picture for backing up or rock crawling.
 
Rockford developed three vehicle specific installation kits that make adding the MX-CAM motorsports camera to 2014+ Polaris RZR®, 2017+ Can-am Maverick® X3, and 2018+ Polaris Ranger® vehicles a seamless installation. Each kit includes vehicle specific direct fit mounting brackets, a pre-wired camera switch for quick access, a main harness and vehicle specific T-harness for simple no mistake wire connections.
 
For those who already have a Rockford Fosgate SXS audio kit equipped with either a PMX-3 or PMX-8 source unit, any of the vehicle specific kits required for installation of the MX-CAM will directly plug-in using the included trigger wire and video connector.

Harley-Davidson® make their debut with Rockford Fosgate® technology

The industry leader in high-performance audio systems, is pleased to announce that Harley-Davidson® Audio Powered by Rockford Fosgate will be offered as original factory equipment on MY21 CVO ™ Street Glide® and CVO. ™ Road Glide® Motorcycles.

Our two teams worked hard to develop a system that not only had better sound, but delivered bass output, clarity, definition and response during the driving experience. It is a new benchmark in performance. ”

“In order to create a truly rider-centric sound system, our engineering teams measured both rider positioning and audio performance at different speeds. From there came the design of several proprietary technologies that work together to form a fully optimized pilot experience, ”said Jake Braaten, vice president of business and product development.

To provide this next-level audio experience, the focus on sound projection came from location-specific mirrored left and right speakers that were further enhanced for the rider. Rockford then integrated an advanced DSP with R-Tune, a proprietary motorcycle equalization designed to be louder and louder to overcome road noise and wind noise. A unique M-DEQ ™ (Motorcycle Dynamic EQ) was developed to work together by adaptively changing EQ points in real time to ensure incredible sound quality regardless of speed or riding conditions. To address one of the biggest obstacles in motorcycle audio, BME (Bass Management Enhancement) was implemented to continuously adapt to speed and road noise to maximize bass output at any volume or speed.

Harley-Davidson® audio with Rockford Fosgate technology will be offered as 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-speaker systems powered by up to two 400-watt amplifiers. Passengers can choose between Stage 1 two-way speakers or Stage 2 three-way speakers with a woofer, a bridge-mounted tweeter, and a mid-range driver. All products can be easily configured and retrofitted with the Harley Davidson app powered by Rockford Fosgate. They will also be offered as a replacement option for certain models dating back to 2014

Rockford Fosgate® Announces New M5 Amplifiers

Rockford Fosgate, the industry leader in high-performance audio systems, is proud to announce the new line of M5 amplifiers built to withstand the outdoor environment for all types of marine, motorcycle and motorsports installations. With an IPX6 rating, the M5 amplifiers are designed as rugged as the outdoors and built to withstand all the elements, including water, dust, mud, and UV rays. The new M5 series amplifiers are the first in Rockford’s portfolio to bring dynamic power output in line with the CEA-2006 standard measured to simulate real-world music applications.

The line consists of three models starting with a powerful 1500 watt five channel subwoofer amplifier, an 800 watt four channel subwoofer and a 1000 watt monoblock subwoofer. All are equipped with a full complement of smart features like C.L.E.A.N. for fast and accurate setup, “auto-sensing” power-up for use with high-level inputs and a top-mounted control panel sealed by a smoked plexiglass cover that completes the amp’s elegant industrial look. If the amp is being installed in one of Rockford’s new Polaris RZR® or Can-am Maverick X3® stage kits, setup is incredibly simple out of the box with the preset switch in the on position, no setup required no adjustments. Just flip the switch to the off position to customize the settings for all other apps.

 

Rockford Fosgate M5 Element Ready amplifiers designed for use in marine, motorcycle, UTV stereo installations
